Sales Engineer- Piping

About the OpportunityWe are partnering with our client, a global leader in steel manufacturing and distribution, to find a talented Sales Engineer for their Dubai operations. This is an exciting field-based role offering the chance to work across multiple high-impact business streams—including Pipes & Coating, Foundation Solutions, and Piping & Fittings—supporting major infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects across the UAE and surrounding regions.Number of positions: 5Location: JAFZA, Dubai Role OverviewThe Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business development, managing key client relationships, and providing technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle. This is a customer-facing role requiring frequent site visits, client meetings, and project coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities with EPCs, contractors, consultants, and project owners.Promote and sell HSAW pipes, coatings (3LPP, 3LPE, FBE), structural steel, foundation solutions, and piping systems/fittings.Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, BOQs, and tender submissions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and coordinate with internal technical and operations teams.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects to support strategic business growth.Candidate RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, Pipeline Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience:Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or project coordination within the GCC (UAE experience preferred).Must have experience in at least one of the following:Pipes & CoatingStructural Steel / Foundation EngineeringPiping Systems & FittingsConstruction Materials / Equipment RentalInfrastructure or EPC projectsMandatory Skills:Valid UAE Driving LicenseProficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and layouts.Strong understanding of piping/coating specifications, foundation solutions, or structural steel applications.Experience preparing BOQs, estimates, technical submissions, and commercial offers.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA, or related industry standards.Exposure to Water Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or Industrial Projects.Key CompetenciesTechnical Sales & Business DevelopmentClient Relationship ManagementProposal & Tender PreparationProject Coordination & Site AssessmentMarket Intelligence & Competitor AnalysisSelf-Motivated, Target-Driven, and Customer-Focused
