WhizzHR is Hiring:Diesel Trader / Fuel Oil Trader in DubaiJob Description:Diesel Trader / Fuel Oil TraderWe are seeking an experienced Fuel Oil Trader / Diesel Trader to develop and expandour fuel oil trading business. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing,trading, and marketing fuel oil products, building relationships with suppliers and buyers,negotiating contracts, managing trading risks, and achieving profitability targets.1. Key Responsibilitiesa. Trading & Business Development- Develop and manage fuel oil trading activities in regional and internationalmarkets.- Identify and establish relationships with refineries, traders, suppliers, andend-users.- Source and market fuel oil products, including High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO),Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO), and Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO), MarineFuel, and related petroleum products.- Negotiate purchase and sales contracts to maximize trading margins.- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, supply-demand fundamentals, andcompetitor activities.b. Market Intelligence- Track vessel movements, import/export data, refinery operations, and marketdevelopments.- Identify arbitrage opportunities and new trading prospects.- Maintain up-to-date market information and provide regular market reports.c. Risk Management- Evaluate commercial, operational, and credit risks associated with transactions.- Coordinate with finance and management regarding credit limits and exposure.- Ensure compliance with company policies and trading procedures.d. Operations & Execution- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, inspection companies, andcustomers to ensure smooth transaction execution.- Resolve operational issues related to loading, discharge, documentation, andproduct quality.- Work closely with operations and finance teams for timely contract performanceand payment collection.e. Relationship Management- Develop long-term relationships with key market participants.- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand thecompany's market presence.2. Requirementsa. Education:- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a relatedfield.b. Experience:- Minimum 5 years of experience in fuel oil trading or petroleum products trading.- Proven track record of generating profitable trading business.- Established network of fuel oil suppliers, traders, and buyers.c. Skills:- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.- Excellent understanding of fuel oil markets and pricing mechanisms.- Knowledge of international trade terms, shipping, and logistics.- Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and market intelligence tools.- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.d. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):- Monthly trading volume targets.- Gross profit generated.- New supplier and customer acquisition.- Successful execution of trades.- Market intelligence contribution and business opportunities identified.e. Preferred Background: Experience trading:- Fuel Oil (High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO), Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO), and VeryLow Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO))- Marine Fuels / Bunker Fuels- Distillates and related petroleum products3.
