This role involves identifying and engaging potential and existing marine and maritime clients, understanding their technical and operational needs, and promoting the company’s ship chandling and marine supply solutions. Day-to-day tasks include preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting vessel and client visits, coordinating with operations and procurement teams, and providing technical guidance on marine engineering products and services. The Sales Marine Engineer will follow up on leads, negotiate contracts, manage customer relationships, and ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet quality and safety standards. The role also includes monitoring market trends, contributing to sales strategies, and maintaining accurate sales and service documentation.Qualifications Strong background in the marine industry, including experience in Maritime operations and Marine Industry practices.Applied knowledge of Marine Engineering, including Maintenance & Repair of marine systems and equipment.Exposure to Navy or commercial vessel environments, with understanding of shipboard standards and safety requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline; equivalent technical experience may be considered.Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing roles within the marine or maritime sector.Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and manuals, and translate them into clear solutions for clients.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.Comfort working in an on-site, field-oriented environment, including visiting ports, vessels, and client facilities.Proficiency in basic office and CRM software, with strong organizational and reporting skills.Commitment to safety, quality standards, and ethical business practices.
