Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition Overview:The Sales Merchandiser plays a critical frontline role in ensuring consistent product availability, visibility, and execution standards across assigned outlets, including pharmacies, modern trade, and other retail channels.The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of in-store execution, stock management, and compliance, ensuring that products are accurately represented, readily available, and handled in line with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. This directly supports sales growth, brand credibility, and customer or patient access.Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and outlet teams, the Sales Merchandiser is accountable for delivering disciplined field execution, identifying operational gaps, and providing actionable insights from the market.Roles and Responsibilities:Pharmacy Execution & Product VisibilityEnsure consistent and compliant product placement across assigned pharmacies in line with company standards and UAE healthcare regulationsMaintain accurate shelf pricing, labelling, and approved promotional materials to ensure full compliance and avoid regulatory riskDrive optimal product visibility and accessibility to support sell-out and patient accessConduct regular in-store checks to identify visibility gaps and take immediate corrective actionProduct Availability & Stock OwnershipEnsure continuous product availability across assigned outlets by closely monitoring shelf and back-store stock levelsCoordinate proactively with the Sales and Delivery teams to maintain timely replenishment and prevent lost salesTake full ownership of stock accuracy within assigned outlets, ensuring correct quantities and proper handlingEscalate supply risks, stock shortages, or operational issues with clear recommendationsExpiry Management & Risk ControlApply strict FIFO principles across all outlets to ensure compliance and minimise expiry-related lossesProactively identify near-expiry products and take corrective action in coordination with internal teamsMaintain high standards of product handling to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory complianceMonitor and report expiry risks to protect business performance and brand reputationField Coverage & Commercial PrioritisationExecute daily visits in line with the approved route plan while maintaining flexibility to prioritise high-impact pharmaciesFocus efforts on outlets with higher sales potential, stock risks, or strategic importanceMaintain discipline, punctuality, and consistent coverage to protect commercial presenceOptimise routes and time allocation to maximise productivity and execution qualityData Collection, Insights & ReportingCapture accurate data on stock levels, availability, execution standards, and competitor activity using approved toolsTranslate field observations into actionable insights to support sales and supply decisionsSubmit complete and timely daily reports with clear visibility on risks, gaps, and opportunitiesProvide structured feedback on market dynamics, pricing trends, and competitor initiativesPharmacy Relationship Management & Brand RepresentationBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with pharmacists and store teamsAct as a reliable point of contact to support smooth execution and resolve operational challengesRepresent NCH with professionalism, integrity, and full adherence to compliance standardsSupport basic product awareness where appropriate, without breaching regulatory or ethical guidelinesCompliance & Operational DisciplineEnsure all activities are conducted in full compliance with internal policies and UAE healthcare regulationsAvoid any non-compliant promotional practices or unauthorized product claimsMaintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with company standardsEscalate any compliance risks or deviations immediatelyEscalate operational issues, stock risks, or compliance concerns promptly.Qualifications & Skills:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; diploma in healthcare, business, or related field is a plusMinimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy merchandising, healthcare field operations, or FMCG with pharmacy exposureExperience working with pharmacies, drugstores, or healthcare outlets in the UAE is preferredExposure to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or wellness products is an advantageValid UAE driving licence is required.Technical & Functional SkillsStrong understanding of pharmacy merchandising and stock management practicesKnowledge of expiry management and regulated product handlingFamiliarity with mobile reporting toolsBasic understanding of healthcare compliance standards.Soft Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skillsHigh level of accountability and ownershipClear and professional communicationAttention to detail, especially in stock and expiry managementAbility to work independently across multiple locations
