Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, the Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations is responsible for optimizing sales productivity, forecasting, planning, and performance tracking. This position is highly cross-functional, working closely with sales, finance, and revenue management teams to enable sales leaders through performance coaching and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the rollout and ongoing management of standardized sales processes, best practices, and performance measurement tools across the sales organization.Manage sales forecasting, planning, and analysis to ensure accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment with business objectives.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze sales data to support productivity enhancements and coaching efforts.Partner with sales leadership in monthly and annual planning, as well as performance reviews using data-driven insights.Provide strategic recommendations based on run rates, year-over-year performance, external market data, and internal goals.Ensure sales teams have access to the right tools, training, and resources across all sales disciplines (local, contract, business development, and specialists).Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address critical reporting needs and business insights.Support the use and continuous improvement of CRM tools and platforms to drive efficiency in planning and execution.Stay up to date with sales technologies, value-added services, and customer-facing digital solutions.Build and maintain collaborative relationships with sales, finance, revenue management, and merchandising teams.Embrace a fast-paced, evolving environment and lead initiatives that support organizational agility and innovation.Perform other duties and strategic projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales or sales support roles.2+ years of experience in a sales strategy, operations, or performance management capacity preferred.Prior leadership experience in a sales team environment is a plus.Professional Skills:Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to evaluate reports and interpret business implications.Experience with budgeting, sales forecasting, and financial planning.Ability to express and analyze data in terms of profit/loss, margins, cost ratios, and other key metrics.Familiarity with CRM systems for sales planning and pipeline management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.Self-starter with solid project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and contributing to organizational transformation.Knowledge of marketing concepts and sales enablement principles.Ideal Candidate Will Be:Insight-driven and data-oriented with strong business judgment.A collaborative partner and confident communicator.Organized, proactive, and strategic with an ability to lead cross-functional projects.Open to change and capable of thriving in a dynamic sales environment.This is a great opportunity for an experienced sales operations or strategy professional to make a meaningful impact in a high-performance organization.
