The candidate will be responsible for leading technical development activities, providing technical guidance to the team and ensuring high-quality delivery in an AMS environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead SAP ABAP backend development, enhancement and support activities.Take technical ownership of assigned deliverables and ensure timely completion.Work on S/4HANA implementation, enhancements and integration projects.Design and develop solutions using ABAP, CDS Views, OData, IDocs, Interfaces and REST APIs.Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.Lead technical discussions with functional teams, business stakeholders and other technical teams.Review technical designs, development approaches and code quality.Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.Handle AMS incidents, service requests, change requests and production issues.Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of critical production issues.Work on performance optimization, debugging and technical issue resolution.Coordinate with cross-functional teams for SAP and non-SAP integrations.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level ABAP developers.Support technical estimation, effort planning and task allocation within the team.Identify technical risks, dependencies and issues and drive them to closure.Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications and knowledge articles.Ensure solutions follow S/4HANA and modern ABAP development best practices.Mandatory Technical Skills9+ years of SAP ABAP experienceStrong hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementationExcellent experience in:ABAP DevelopmentCDS ViewsOData ServicesIDocsSAP InterfacesREST APIsStrong experience in SAP backend development and integrationGood experience in AMS / Application Maintenance & Support projectsStrong debugging and performance optimization skillsExperience handling production-critical issuesLead-Level ExpectationsAct as the technical point of contact for ABAP backend development.Lead and mentor the ABAP development team.Own technical delivery and ensure quality and timelines.Conduct technical discussions, design reviews and code reviews.Provide solutions for complex technical issues.Coordinate effectively with functional, integration and business teams.Demonstrate strong ownership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.Soft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and lead technical discussionsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced AMS environmentImportantImmediate Joiners Only will be considered
