SAP ABAP/UI5 Developer

Job SummaryThe candidate should have strong Hands-on experience in SAP UI5/Fiori application development, OData services, and advanced ABAP development. Strong understanding of code quality, code reviews, and SAP best practices. Exposure to Form Bundles understanding and knowledge of SAP Multi-Channel Foundation (MCF) is desirable.Responsibilities1. ABAP Development:o Develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces.o Implement enhancements using User Exits, BADI, and BAPI.o Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of ABAP programs.2. SAP UI5/Fiori Development:o Design and develop SAP UI5/Fiori applications with responsiveness and scalability.o Customize and enhance standard Fiori apps to meet business requirements.o Integrate OData services into SAP UI5 applications for seamless backend communication.o Strong understanding of SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration, including Catalogs, Groups, Spaces, Pages, and their assignment to Business Roles.3. OData Services:o Develop, maintain and optimize SAP Gateway and CDS-based OData services, with basic knowledge of RAP to enable smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.o Optimize OData services for performance and scalability.o Troubleshoot and resolve issues in OData services during development and production.4. BRF + (Preferred not mandatory):o Knowledge on BRF+ and expertise is an added advantageo Design, configure, and maintain SAP BRF+ rules, decision tables, functions, and rule sets to support tax and revenue management processes.o Integrate BRF+ with relevant SAP modules such as FI, TRM/PSCD as applicable.o Understanding of BRF+ integration in SAP UI5 application.5. Code Reviews:o Perform detailed code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, SAP best practices, and system performance requirements.o Provide constructive feedback to development teams to improve code quality and maintainability.o Identify and address technical debt in existing codebases.6. Technical Support:o Provide technical expertise and support during system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.o Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.o Resolve system issues and provide performance tuning for applications.7. Documentation and Testing:o Create technical design documents and ensure alignment with business needs.o Conduct unit testing and support Implementation team to ensure quality deliverables.8. Collaboration:o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP Basis, functional consultants, and project managers.o Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectivesSkills• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.• Experience Level: 7 Years & aboveTechnical Skills: o Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).o Experience with SAP UI5/Fiori application development using Eclispe/ SAP Web IDE.o Expertise in developing and maintaining OData services using SAP Gateway.o Hands-on experience in configuring and developing Form Bundles in SAP.o Familiarity with SAP Multi-Channel Foundation (MCF) for omnichannel application integration.o Knowledge of CDS views, AMDP, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).o Proficiency in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.o Knowledge of ALE/IDoc, SAP Workflow, and Smart Forms/Adobe Forms.• Tools: o SAP HANA Studio, Eclipse, or SAP Business Application Studio/ Microsoft VSCode.o Version control systems like Git or SAP Transport Management System.Preferred Skills• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrations.• Knowledge of Fiori Launchpad configuration and UI5 Custom CSS and theming.• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps tools• SAP certification in ABAP, ABAP on Hana, Fiori/UI5, is a plus.• BRF+ fundamentals.Educational Qualifications and Certifications• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, user research and experience or a related field. • Experience in Customer Experience (CX), UX, Digital Analytics, or Digital Product Improvement. • Strong understanding of user experience principles, Human-Centered Design, and User-Centered Design methodologies. • Experience in user journey mapping, information architecture, and interaction flow analysis. • Knowledge of usability evaluation techniques and UX research methodologies. • Understanding of user behavior analysis, digital performance measurement, and KPI reporting. • Experience with A/B testing and experiment analysis. • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and digital service guidelines. • Ability to translate analytics and findings into actionable recommendations. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for user journey analysis, reporting, and productivity.Minimum:• 10+ years of experience in Customer Experience (CX), User Experience (UX), or Digital Experience roles. • Hands-on experience in UX research, usability evaluation, or digital service improvement.
