SAP Administrator

To own the day-to-day technical and functional running of the SAP landscape and its interfaces — resolving user issues, maintaining configuration and master data, developing and maintaining custom objects, and keeping the system stable, controlled and well documented.ResponsibilitiesProvide functional and technical support for SAP ECC — incident resolution, user issues, configuration changes and period-end support, within agreed service levelsDevelop and maintain custom ABAP objects — reports, function modules, BAPIs/RFCs, IDoc interfaces and enhancementsBuild, monitor and support interfaces between SAP and third-party business applicationsMaintain master data and pricing structures, and the controls that govern themManage transports and ensure all changes are tested in a quality environment before release to productionAdminister SAP users, roles and authorisations in line with approved access proceduresInvestigate and resolve data and posting errors, including root-cause analysis and preventive fixesCoordinate with software vendors and implementation partners on issues and enhancementsProduce and maintain technical specifications, process documentation and support proceduresSupport users with training, guidance and knowledge-based materialQualificationsBachelor's degree in Information technology, Computer Science or a related field.3 to 4 years in SAP support, administration or development roleHands-on SAP ECC experience — candidates with S/4HANA experience only will not be consideredPractical ABAP development: reports, BAPIs/RFCs, IDocs, enhancements and debuggingWorking functional knowledge of SD, MM and FI from a support perspectiveExperience supporting interfaces between SAP and external systemsSQL and a solid understanding of relational dataExperience of transport handling and structured testing before production releaseSAP user, role and authorisation administrationClear written documentation and a disciplined approach to change controlStrong spoken and written English
