Job Title: SAP ABAP - Technical ConsultantWork Location: Germany(Remote)Contract: 1 Year with possible extensionJob Purpose and primary objectives:Provide L2 technical support for the ABAP and custom development scope of the Grower Management operations model, with focus on custom code analysis, debugging, technical defect triage, enhancement impact assessment, interface support, forms/reports, OData/Gateway services, application logs, and coordination with functional, BTP/Fiori, integration, and security teams. Support stable day-to-day operations by analyzing technical incidents, validating code and interface dependencies, identifying root cause, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation of technical issues impacting business continuity.Key responsibilities:Analyze and resolve L2 technical incidents and service requests related to SAP ABAP and custom developments within the Grower Management lifecycle, including custom programs, reports, forms, enhancements, BADIs, exits, CDS views, interfaces, OData/Gateway services, application logs, dumps, batch jobs, workflow or output-related failures, and integration touchpoints with MM, PP/QM, FI/AP, BTP/Fiori, CPI/API, reporting, and external applications. Validate incident details, reproduce technical issues, assess business and technical impact, perform root-cause analysis, and classify issues as code defect, configuration dependency, data issue, integration failure, authorization issue, UI issue, or new requirement. Support debugging, log analysis, short dump analysis, performance review, transport impact checks, technical documentation, unit testing, defect fix coordination, regression support, and controlled handover to L3/product teams where design or source-code changes require formal approval. Work closely with GM functional lead, MM, PP/QM, FI/AP, BTP/Fiori, integration, security, release, and testing teams to ensure end-to-end technical resolution and stable operations.Must Have Skills/Knowledge:Strong SAP S/4HANA ABAP technical expertise with hands-on experience in custom development support, debugging, reports, forms, enhancements, BADIs/exits, CDS views, OData/Gateway services, application logs, short dump analysis, batch/job troubleshooting, technical performance analysis, transport management, and integration troubleshooting. Practical L2/AMS support experience in incident triage, root-cause analysis, defect impact assessment, code review, technical documentation, unit testing, regression support, and stakeholder communication. Ability to analyze technical issues across integrated SAP functional processes and work effectively with functional, BTP/Fiori, CPI/API, security, release, and testing teams in an ITIL-aligned support environment.
