The role will also own real‑time and near‑real‑time data replication using SAP SLT, ensure performant analytics leveraging Native HANA modeling, and act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise as well as team and delivery ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesSAP BW Architecture & Delivery LeadershipLead design and implementation of SAP BW on HANA / BW/4HANA solutions including modeling, data acquisition, transformations, and reporting layers. Define and govern BW architecture standards, object reuse strategy, naming conventions, transport strategy, and performance benchmarks.Own delivery across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support engagements.Data Acquisition & Integration (SLT Focus)Design and manage real‑time and delta data replication from SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA to BW using SAP SLT.Ensure optimal data flow design covering ODP, SLT, and standard extractors, with reconciliation and monitoring frameworks.Work closely with Basis and source system teams to ensure stable and scalable replication setups.SAP BW Modeling & TransformationsLead development of BW objects: InfoObjects, ADSOs (Field‑based & InfoObject‑based)Composite Providers, Open ODS ViewsTransformations, DTPs, Process ChainsEnsure optimal data layer separation (acquisition, harmonization, reporting) and performance tuning across large data volumes.Native SAP HANA DevelopmentDesign and optimize Native HANA objects, including: Calculation Views, Table Functions, SQL Script proceduresCDS Views (where applicable)Leverage push‑down logic to HANA to improve query and load performance.Collaborate with BW and HANA teams to decide optimal BW vs Native HANA modeling strategy.Reporting & AnalyticsOversee reporting solutions using: BEx Queries / Analysis for Office / SAP BO / SAC (where applicable)Ensure reporting performance, semantic consistency, and business KPI alignment across domains (FI, CO, SD, MM, Supply Chain).Migration & ModernizationLead BW on HANA / BW/4HANA conversion and migration programs, including: Readiness checks and simplification item handlingRemediation of custom code and data modelsData volume management and performance validationSupport S/4HANA transformation programs from an analytics perspective.Production Support & GovernanceAct as escalation point for production issues, SLA adherence, root cause analysis, and resolution.Ensure strong governance around transports (ChaRM), releases, incident/change management, and documentation.Team & Stakeholder LeadershipMentor and guide SAP BW developers and HANA modelers.Work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, architects, and program managers.Contribute to effort estimation, planning, and delivery commitments.Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)Core SAP Skills10+ years of SAP BW experience, with strong hands‑on leadership exposure.
