SAP Engineering Functional Consultant (Manufacturing SME)

Role SummarySeeking an experienced SAP Engineering Functional Consultant (Manufacturing SME) to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP-enabled engineering and manufacturing processes. The role will be responsible for aligning engineering, production, quality, and supply chain operations with SAP best practices, enabling efficient manufacturing execution, product lifecycle management, and production planning capabilities across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities• Lead SAP functional consulting activities for engineering and manufacturing business processes.• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solution designs.• Configure and optimize SAP manufacturing and production planning processes.• Support engineering change management, bill of materials (BOM), routings, work centers, and production operations.• Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline manufacturing and engineering workflows.• Design and implement integrated solutions across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, quality, and maintenance functions.• Support blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.• Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and external engineering systems.• Drive process standardization and adoption of SAP best practices.• Support data migration, master data governance, and system integration activities.• Provide functional guidance during system enhancements and transformation initiatives.• Prepare functional specifications and support user training and knowledge transfer activities.Required Skills• SAP Manufacturing Solutions• SAP Production Planning (PP)• SAP Engineering Processes• Bill of Materials (BOM)• Routing & Work Centers• Production Execution• Manufacturing Operations Management• Engineering Change Management• Material Requirements Planning (MRP)• Supply Chain Integration• Requirements Gathering & Analysis• Functional Design & Configuration• Business Process Mapping• Stakeholder ManagementPreferred Skills• SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing• SAP PP/DS• SAP PLM• SAP QM• MES IntegrationExperience Required• 10+ years of overall SAP consulting experience.• 7+ years of experience in SAP Manufacturing and Engineering modules.• Strong experience in end-to-end SAP implementation and transformation programs.• Experience working with complex manufacturing environments.• Hands-on experience in SAP configuration, testing, and deployment activities.• Experience integrating manufacturing processes with supply chain, maintenance, and quality functions.Educational Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Preferred Certifications• SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Certification• SAP Production Planning (PP) Certification
