SAP EWM ABAP Technical Senior Consultant

Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled SAP EWM ABAP Technical Senior Consultant with strong hands-on experience in ABAP development and SAP EWM technical solutions.The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting SAP EWM solutions using ABAP. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP EWM development, interfaces, enhancements, debugging, performance optimization, and technical leadership.Only pure technical SAP EWM ABAP profiles are required. Functional or techno-functional EWM profiles will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesABAP DevelopmentDesign, develop, test, and implement ABAP solutions for SAP EWM.Develop custom reports, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, interfaces, forms, and other technical objects.Analyze technical requirements and convert them into scalable ABAP solutions.Perform debugging, code corrections, and technical issue resolution.SAP EWM Technical DevelopmentWork extensively on SAP EWM technical development and enhancements.Develop technical solutions to extend and enhance standard EWM functionality.Support complex EWM implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and enhancement projects.Work closely with EWM functional consultants to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.Integration & Interfaces Develop and support interfaces between SAP EWM and other SAP/non-SAP systems.Hands-on experience with technologies such as:RFCBAPIIDocWeb services/interfaces where applicableTroubleshoot interface failures and ensure reliable data exchange.Technical LeadershipLead EWM ABAP development activities for assigned projects.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.Participate in technical design discussions and solution reviews.Requirement AnalysisUnderstand business requirements provided by functional teams.Translate requirements into technical specifications and ABAP development solutions.Prepare technical design documents and development estimates.Testing & QualityPerform unit testing and support integration testing/UAT.Analyze defects and provide appropriate technical fixes.Ensure developed solutions meet quality, performance, and coding standards.Performance OptimizationAnalyze and optimize ABAP programs for performance.Identify performance bottlenecks and implement efficient technical solutions.Conduct debugging and performance analysis for complex EWM processes.Production SupportProvide technical support for SAP EWM production issues.Perform root-cause analysis and resolve ABAP/EWM technical issues.Support incident, problem, and change management activities.Documentation Prepare and maintain:Technical specificationsTechnical design documentsCode documentationTest scripts/resultsInterface documentationMust-Have Skills8–12 years of overall SAP ABAP experienceStrong hands-on experience in SAP EWM Technical / EWM ABAPStrong expertise in ABAP developmentExperience with ABAP enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, reports, debuggingStrong experience in SAP EWM technical developmentExperience with RFC, BAPI, IDoc and SAP interfacesStrong debugging and performance-tuning skillsExperience working on complex SAP EWM implementation/enhancement/support projectsAbility to translate technical requirements into robust ABAP solutionsExperience in technical design, development, testing, and production supportGood communication and technical leadership skillsGood-to-Have SkillsSAP EWM implementation/rollout experienceExperience with S/4HANA EWMKnowledge of ABAP ObjectsExperience with CDS Views / AMDPExposure to OData / REST / SOAPExperience with SAP EWM integration with other SAP modules/systemsSAP ABAP/EWM certificationEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Important Screening CriteriaDO NOT ApplySAP EWM Functional ConsultantsSAP EWM Techno-Functional ConsultantsProfiles primarily focused on EWM functional configurationCandidates without strong hands-on ABAP developmentCandidates with only generic SAP ABAP experience and no meaningful EWM technical experienceCandidates with joining timelines beyond 15 daysTarget ProfileSAP EWM Technical + Strong ABAP Development + EWM Enhancements/Interfaces + Debugging + Technical LeadershipSkills: leadership,debugging,sap ewm,abap
