Integration Architect – SAP BTP Integration SuiteGlobal Tech Consultants (supporting a leading Irish wholesale, retail, and foodservice business)Cork, Ireland (fully onsite)OverviewJoin a high-pace, high-quality SAP S​/​4HANA greenfield transformation program to unify retail, foodservice, and wholesale operations by replacing multiple legacy environments with a single S​/​4HANA platform. As the Integration Architect (SAP BTP Integration Suite), you will define and drive the end-to-end integration architecture, establish integration governance and standards, and partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external delivery partners to enable successful programme delivery.Key Responsibilities- Define the end-to-end integration strategy and target architecture for an S​/​4HANA greenfield program across retail, wholesale, and foodservice domains.- Lead the design of integration patterns and standards using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and S​/​4HANA integration approaches.- Own integration architecture governance including design authority, review processes, and adherence to integration principles, security, and quality standards.- Translate programme and domain needs into integration roadmaps, interface inventories, and architectural decisions that unblock delivery teams.- Provide hands-on architectural leadership for S​/​4HANA integrations including APIs (OData​/​REST), IDocs, EDI, and hybrid integration scenarios involving legacy systems during transition.- Coordinate and align stakeholders across business, IT, and external partners to ensure proactive decision-making and smooth execution.- Oversee integration build and delivery outcomes by guiding teams, reviewing designs, and ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability.- Drive clear technical communication including architecture documentation, solution briefs, and stakeholder updates suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.- Identify integration risks and dependencies early, propose mitigations, and support programme milestones with actionable technical plans.What Success Looks Like (Early Indicators)- Establishes credibility quickly through clear communication, strong technical knowledge, and confident domain engagement.- Builds effective stakeholder relationships and creates alignment on integration direction and next steps.- Brings structure to an evolving integration landscape by proposing pragmatic patterns, standards, and governance to support delivery.Required Qualifications & Experience- Significant experience in lead integration architecture roles (typically 10+ years or equivalent demonstrated capability).- Strong domain experience in grocery retail or closely related high-volume retail​/​wholesale​/​foodservice environments with the ability to engage credibly with stakeholders.- Proven experience designing and governing enterprise integration for SAP S​/​4HANA programs, ideally in greenfield transformations and legacy replacement contexts.- Deep expertise across SAP integration technologies including SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and common S​/​4HANA integration methods (APIs​/​OData​/​IDocs).- Experience with EDI and integration with external partners and platforms in complex enterprise landscapes.- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence decisions across business, IT, and third-party vendors.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear architecture documentation and run effective design workshops.- Ability to work fully onsite in Cork, Ireland.Nice to Have- Experience in multi-stream programme environments with multiple vendors and high delivery pace.- Experience establishing integration operating models, reusable patterns, and interface governance at scale.- Prior involvement in unifying multiple business units onto a single SAP S​/​4HANA platform.Equal OpportunityGlobal Tech Consultants is an equal opportunity employer.
