Job Description – SAP MDG Technical Lead (7-10 Years)Role SummaryThe SAP MDG Technical Lead will lead the technical design, development, and support of SAP MDG Supplier/Business Partner solutions, covering data models, mappings, roles, workflow, replication, and data-quality controls.The role requires strong hands-on SAP MDG technical expertise, with experience across ABAP development, BAdIs, BRFplus, workflow, data replication, integrations, and SAP S/4HANA/ECC environments.This role is suited for professionals who can own technical architecture and development across SAP MDG implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support programs.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn technical architecture and development for SAP MDG Supplier/Business Partner solutionsDesign or extend MDG data models, UI configurations, validations, derivations, and change-request processesDevelop and troubleshoot: ABAP enhancementsBAdIsBRFplus rulesSAP workflow logicConfigure and support data replication using: DRFAPIsIDocsWeb servicesManage mappings, including key mapping and value mappingDesign and support integration with: SAP S/4HANASAP ECCExternal platformsResolve issues related to roles, authorizations, workflow, data quality, and replicationGuide technical testing, performance analysis, transport/release activities, and production stabilizationProvide code and design reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring to support resourcesRequired Skills & Experience7-10 years of overall SAP experience, including 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG technical experienceExperience in at least two SAP MDG implementation/rollout projectsStrong SAP MDG-S / Business Partner technical expertiseHands-on experience with:ABAP OOBAdI / Enhancement FrameworkBRFplusSAP WorkflowStrong knowledge of:MDG data modelsChange requestsStaging / Active AreaUI configurationExperience with DRF, key/value mapping, duplicate checks, and data replicationGood understanding of BP/CVI and supplier master integration in S/4HANAExperience with OData/APIs, IDocs, or web-service-based MDG integrationsGood to HaveMDG certificationSAP HANA / CDS exposureExperience integrating MDG with supplier portals or procurement platformsBehavioral CompetenciesStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsHigh level of ownership and accountabilityClear communication and collaboration across business and technical teamsAbility to work independently in a delivery and support environmentStrong mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities
