This role ensures SAP capabilities align with enterprise business processes while delivering scalable, integrated, and high-value solutions across the organization.The SAP Platform Lead will define the platform vision, architectural standards, and solution patterns that guide SAP development and implementation efforts. Working closely with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams, this role ensures SAP investments support operational efficiency, business process integration, and long-term platform sustainability.The ideal candidate combines deep technical SAP expertise with strong enterprise solution design skills and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in delivering integrated SAP capabilities.
What You'll Do
Define and maintain the long-term SAP platform architecture and technology roadmapEstablish solution design standards, architectural principles, and functional integration patterns for SAP solutionsServe as the design authority for SAP initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategyGovern functional solution designs across SAP modules to ensure scalability, sustainability, and cross-module consistencyIdentify and manage architectural risks, integration dependencies, and technical debt within the SAP landscapeDesign end-to-end SAP solutions across multiple functional domains including Finance, Procurement, and Materials ManagementTranslate business requirements into integrated SAP solution designs that align with platform standards and business goalsLead solution architecture efforts for SAP implementations, enhancements, and S/4HANA initiativesEnsure cross-functional business process alignment across SAP modules and enterprise systemsReview and validate functional designs to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainabilityPartner with business leaders, product owners, and delivery teams to define SAP-enabled business capabilitiesFacilitate alignment across functional stakeholders on business process design and system capabilitiesAdvise leadership on SAP capabilities, architectural trade-offs, and solution roadmap optionsSupport key implementation activities including testing strategy, cutover planning, and go-live readiness from a solution perspectiveWhat You'll Have:8+ years of SAP functional, solution architecture, or platform design experience3+ years as a lead technical architect, solution architect, or SAP design leadership roleSAP certification in relevant functional modules or S/4HANAExperience supporting SAP transformations or large-scale ERP modernization initiativesFamiliarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models in SAP environmentsExperience working within complex multi-system enterprise environmentsProven experience designing and delivering integrated SAP solutions in complex enterprise environmentsStrong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, business processes, and best practicesDemonstrated experience translating business requirements into scalable enterprise solutionsStrong stakeholder communication and facilitation skillsBachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Preferred Skillset:Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO), including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, billing, and financial reportingStrong knowledge of Materials Management (MM) across both procurement (purchasing, vendor management) and inventory management (stock, goods movement, valuation)Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba for sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and contract lifecycle managementUnderstanding of end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) processes across Finance and Procurement modulesExperience designing and supporting cross-module integrations between Finance, Procurement, and Inventory within SAP S/4HANAFamiliarity with warehouse and inventory solutions (WM/EWM) and their integration into broader supply chain operationsAbility to support and optimize legacy system integration (e.g., IBM platforms) into SAP environmentsThe Vernovis Difference:Vernovis offers Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Short & Long -Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, and 401K.Vernovis does not accept inquiries from Corp to Corp recruiting companies.
