Job Type: This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the European Union.Experience: 3 Years minimumSystem: SAP S/4 HANAThe SAP Tech Lead plays a key role within the CoE framework, ensuring the stability, performance, and technical evolution of the SAP landscape.Working in close alignment with the SAP CoE, this role combines technical leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional coordination to support secure, scalable, and business-aligned SAP solutions.The position acts as a key technical reference point for platform improvements, integrations, and ongoing innovation initiatives. You will serve as the primary technical point of reference, supporting the design and implementation of new changes, project initiatives, and critical AMS issues.In this role, you will:Support the enablement of the SAP CoE strategy in technical perspectiveFollow standards, methodologies, and best practices for SAP solutionsEnsure clear ownership of platform administration, security, integrations, and governanceSupport, lead by SAP CoE, the adoption of the global business model and promote innovation across the SAP landscapeMonitor system performance, stability, and integrations according to CoE Strategy and Basis and AMS toolsProvide operational and technical support across application management, infrastructure coordination, and change managementSupport the adoption of new SAP capabilities and innovation initiativesDesign and develop solution ensuring continuous improvement by optimizing business processes and system designSupport AMS activities, BPs in case of issues or technical enhancements and business needsYou will collaborate with Business Partners and development team to deliver agreed changes and enhancements across both existing and future applications; you will check the proposal solution on a technical point of view. In addition, you will support critical operational activities to accelerate ticket resolution, in close collaboration with the AMS team.A core responsibility of the role is to provide technical leadership: mentoring developers, defining best practices, reviewing code, and ensuring high standards in quality, performance, and maintainability. You will also contribute directly to development activities, particularly for more complex components.You will closely engage with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, while supporting testing, release, and continuous improvement activities. Furthermore, you will design and oversee integrations with external systems and promote the adoption of modern SAP technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for:Support functional and technical teams in shaping solution proposals and designing processes in collaboration with Business PartnersSupport AMS system integrators in managing business escalations and urgent issuesCoordinate with third-party vendors and external suppliersCollaborate with the Basis team on technical operations and platform stabilityLead SAP development activities and provide technical guidance across initiativesDevelop and troubleshoot complex SAP solutions when hands-on support is requiredDesign and implement technical solutions aligned with business and architectural requirementsWhat You Need to SucceedTechnical SkillsStrong ABAP development experience and a solid SAP technical backgroundProfessional experience of at least 5–7 years in a similar role within multinational or consulting environmentsExperience with integration technologies such as RFC, BAPI, IDoc, OData, and REST APIsKnowledge of SAP Fiori, UI5, SAP BTP, and modern development tools such as Git and Business Application StudioExperience in SAP integrations, interface design, and SAP Cloud IntegrationFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and SAP certifications as a plusFluent business English, both written and spokenSoft Skills & Other RequirementsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilitiesSelf-starting attitude and ease in building effective interpersonal relationshipsComfortable working both independently and within small or large teamsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally, depending on project needs
