SAT Tutor

We are seeking highly motivated and strategic SAT Tutors to join our team of educators. We are looking for an educator who understands that SAT success is as much about mindset and strategy as it is about content knowledge. The Role As an SAT Tutor, your primary goal is to help students maximise their scores within the rigid constraints of the exam. You will move beyond content mastery and teaching "how to solve a problem". This involves shifting students away from a traditional academic mindset—where showing work and deep conceptual understanding are paramount—toward an SAT Success Mindset that prioritises efficiency, speed, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Strategic Training Teach students to recognise predictable SAT patterns and apply the most efficient solution methods instantly. Time Management Train students in time-pressure techniques, emphasizing speed and efficiency over "elegant" problem-solving. Decision-Making Guide students when to guess and how to allocate their limited time for maximum score gains. Resilience Building Conduct "stress inoculation" sessions to prepare students for the high-pressure, multi-hour testing environment. Performance Coaching Help students build the stamina and composure needed to bounce back from difficult sections and maintain focus. Required Skills & Mindset We are looking for candidates who possess a specific set of skills that distinguish them from regular subject tutors: Pattern Recognition Expertise: You must have a deep understanding of the SAT's structure and the ability to teach students how to identify question types immediately. Efficiency-First Approach: You prioritise getting the right answer quickly and can teach students to abandon time-consuming habits from their regular schoolwork. Psychological Coaching: You can build student confidence and teaching recovery strategies for when they encounter unexpected challenges during the exam. Strategic Flexibility: You understand that the SAT is a "strategic battlefield" and can adapt your teaching to help students navigate it effectively. Qualifications Proven track record of significant SAT score improvements for students. Deep familiarity with the current Digital SAT format and its specific challenges. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex strategies. A passion for coaching students through high-pressure academic milestones.
