Job PurposeThe Scaffolding Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, and successful delivery of scaffolding projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and company standards.The role requires strong scaffolding-specific technical and operational experience, with the ability to manage manpower, materials, site activities, commercial performance, safety, and client relationships across multiple projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & OperationsManage scaffolding projects from mobilisation through execution, completion, and demobilisationDevelop project plans, schedules, manpower requirements, material requirements, and mobilisation strategiesCoordinate daily scaffolding activities, including erection, modification, inspection, handover, and dismantlingEnsure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed scope, programme, budget, and client expectationsMonitor project progress and proactively address delays, resource constraints, and operational challengesPrepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersEnsure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirementsMonitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditionsResolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycleCoordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, HSE, Logistics, and Human Capital teamsEnsure scaffolding activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs, method statements, risk assessments, and applicable scaffolding standardsMaintain effective control and utilisation of scaffolding materials and equipmentEnsure adequate numbers of competent Scaffolders, Chargehands, Foremen, Supervisors, and Inspectors are deployed according to project requirementsCoordinate with scaffolding design/engineering teams regarding complex or non-standard scaffold requirementsEnsure scaffolds are properly inspected, tagged, handed over, and maintained throughout the project lifecycleCommercial & Cost ControlMonitor project budgets, labour productivity, material utilisation, equipment costs, and overall project profitabilityTrack project variations and additional works and ensure they are properly documented and communicatedSupport accurate forecasting, cost reporting, invoicing, and commercial reviewsIdentify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce unnecessary project costs without compromising safety or qualityClient & Stakeholder ManagementAct as a key point of contact for clients regarding project delivery and scaffolding operationsAttend client meetings, progress meetings, and internal project reviewsMaintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholdersRespond promptly to operational issues and client requirements while protecting the company's commercial and operational interestsTeam & Workforce ManagementLead and coordinate project teams, supervisors, foremen, and scaffolding workforceSet clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and performanceMonitor workforce performance and identify training or competencyRequirementsQualifications & Experience+8 Years of experience as a scaffolding project manager.Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferredSignificant hands-on experience within the scaffolding industry is essentialProven experience managing medium to large-scale scaffolding projectsStrong knowledge of scaffolding systems, erection and dismantling methodologies, Work at Height requirements, and scaffolding safety standardsExperience managing large scaffolding workforces, materials, logistics, and project resourcesPrevious experience within construction, industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, or major projects is highly desirableRelevant scaffolding qualifications or certifications such as CISRS or equivalent are advantageousProject Management qualifications such as PMP or equivalent are advantageousKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong scaffolding technical and operational knowledgeProject planning and executionManpower and resource managementCommercial awareness and cost controlLeadership and team managementStrong HSE and Work at Height awarenessClient and stakeholder managementProblem-solving and decision-makingStrong communication and reporting skillsAbility to work effectively in fast-paced and demanding project environments
