The role focuses on providing guidance and counselling services, promoting student wellbeing, addressing behavioural and emotional challenges, and supporting a safe and inclusive school environment. The counsellor works closely with school leadership, teachers, students, and parents to ensure that all students are supported in reaching their full potentialKey ResponsibilitiesProvide individual and group counselling sessions to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioural needsIdentify and support students experiencing academic, personal, or psychological challengesDevelop and implement wellbeing, mental health, and social-emotional learning programMaintain confidential student records, case notes, and reports in line with school policiesCollaborate with teachers to support students with behavioural or emotional concernsSupport the implementation of student safeguarding and child protection policiesMonitor and follow up on student attendance, engagement, and wellbeing indicatorsProvide guidance on conflict resolution, peer relationships, and positive behaviour strategiesWork with parents to address student concerns and provide guidance on supporting learners at homeRefer students to external specialists or services when necessaryConduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention where requiredSupport transition programs for students entering or leaving different school levelsDeliver workshops or training sessions for staff and students on wellbeing-related topicsContribute to the development of school policies related to student welfare and safeguardingPromote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school cultureRequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related fieldRelevant certification or licensing in counselling or school psychology (as applicable)Minimum 3–5 years of experience working as a counsellor, preferably in a school settingStrong understanding of child and adolescent developmentKnowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and wellbeing practicesExcellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalismStrong organisational and documentation skillsAbility to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parentsCommitment to promoting student wellbeing and a positive school environmentBenefitsCompetitive SalaryPrivate InsuranceNSSFSeniority PaymentDependent Tuition DiscountOvertime PayPublic HolidaysAnnual LeaveSick LeaveMaternity LeaveSpecial LeaveSummer BreakEnd-Of-Year BreakWork Permit CoverageVisa Extension CoverageMeal DiscountWelfare AllowanceProfessional DevelopmentStaff Team-building EventsStaff RecognitionLabour Law Compliance etc...Working HoursMonday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
