Min 3+ Years of experience as a School Counsellor.In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of curriculum areas, research, and educational trends in Education. State certification or licensure as a school counsellor.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with students.Knowledge of adolescent development, mental health issues, and academic counselling.Key Responsibilities:Individual Counselling:Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students facing academic, personal, social, or emotional challenges.Help students develop coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and self-confidence.Group Counselling:Conduct group counselling sessions to address common issues such as peer relationships, bullying, study skills, and career exploration.Create a safe and supportive space for students to share and learn from their peers.Academic Advising:Assist students in setting academic goals, selecting appropriate courses, and developing study skills.Monitor academic progress and provide intervention when necessary.Consultation:Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address students' specific needs.Provide recommendations and strategies for classroom interventions and support plans.School-wide Programs:Develop and implement programs that promote a positive school culture, such as anti-bullying initiatives, character education, and mental health awareness campaigns.Conduct workshops and presentations for students and staff on relevant topics.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain confidential and accurate records of counselling sessions and interventions.Prepare reports on student progress and outcomes as needed.Professional Development:Stay current with best practices in school counselling through ongoing training and professional development.Adhere to the ethical standards set forth by professional counselling organisations.
