Job Overview – School Counselor (LCSW/LMHC)Compensation: $68 – $76/hourLocation: Brooklyn, NYSchedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (School Schedule)Atlantic Group is hiring a School Counselor (LCSW/LMHC) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, providing school-based counseling services for the upcoming school year. This position is available across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island based on preference. Qualified candidates must hold an active New York State LCSW or LMHC license and will provide individual and group counseling aligned with IEP goals and student support plans.Responsibilities as the School Counselor:Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student emotional and behavioral needs.Student Support: Assist students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation for classroom success.IEP & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP or support meetings.Qualifications for the School Counselor:Education: Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.Licensure: Active New York State LCSW or LMHC is required.Certification: New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.Experience: Prior school-based counseling or mental health experience is preferred.Application Notice: Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
