Embody Misk School's vision, leading strategically to ensure its realization. Build and maintain positive working relationships with all members of the Boys' Schools community. Keep up to date with developments across Misk Schools, the Misk Foundation, and wider education. Lead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose with a clear focus on ensuring excellence.Areas of responsibility:Reporting to the Director General and the Senior Principal regarding the school's operations and strategic development.Establishing and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.Being a key member of the school's Executive and Senior Leadership Teams.Leading and chairing the Boys' Schools leadership team.Supporting the Director General and Senior Principal in formulating and developing the school's aims and objectives, implementing them in the Boys' Schools where appropriate.Delivering Misk Schools' strategic objectives within the Boys' Schools.Implementing the Misk Schools Development Plan in the Boys' Schools.Maintaining overall, delegated responsibility for the attainment and progress of students in the Boys' Schools.Maintaining overall, delegated responsibility for the delivery of the Boys' Schools development plan objectives.Committing to ongoing professional development through the Misk Schools Academy.Ensuring the health and safety of all students, including their spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being.Focusing on the development and well-being of staff, promoting a culture where learning and achievement are at the core.Providing leadership and guidance to the Vice Principals and Assistant Principals in the Boys' Schools.Overseeing the systems and processes of the Boys' Schools, effectively delegating to Vice Principals and Assistant Principals as required.Continually developing and maintaining quality assurance documents and processes in the Boys' Schools.Implementing and maintaining the policies and procedures required to achieve the school's aims and objectives.Allocating staff resources to enable the Boys' Schools to achieve their aims and objectives.Implementing procedures for the accurate collection, analysis, and communication of student progress and attainment in the Boys' Schools.Coordinating the whole school calendar and working with the Senior Leadership Team Academic to ensure the overall smooth running of the school.Undertaking additional duties as required by the line manager.Under the agreement of the Senior Principal, the direct line management of Vice Principals and Assistant Principals is required.To support middle leaders with any issues arising in the leadership of their teams.Building a team of teachers committed to the highest standards and continuing professional development. Through effective delegation and shared responsibility,ensure that all year groups and classes in the Boys' Schools achieve the school's attainment and progress targets.To fulfill teaching responsibilities as required. The post holder must be adaptable and open to the delivery of classes outside of their specific subject or age range to support the smooth running of the school.To support with cover and duty as needed.Safeguarding:The Principal will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the school's safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. They will directly support the Designated Safeguarding Lead as a priority to ensure the safety and well-being of all students at the school.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (essential)Qualified Teacher Status (essential)Professional development to prepare for leadership: NPQSL / CPML or equivalent (essential)Master's Degree in Education or Leadership (desirable)Professional development to prepare for headship: NPQH / CPAH or equivalent (desirable) Experience:At least 2 years' experience in successful leadership and management of a school or school section with a proven track record of success in the role.5 years of teaching experience.A knowledge and understanding of school self-evaluation and development planning.Experience in line managing members of staff.Experience in contributing to staff development.Experience in strategic planning and delivery.Be a collaborative leader and team player capable, when necessary, of decisive management.Be a confident and impressive communicator who will command the interest and imagination of staff, pupils, and parents.Be an internationalist who understands the particular needs of students and families living and working in Saudi Arabia.Be a change leader aiming at excellence in all walks of school life with a drive for improvement and a culture of learning.Skills, knowledge, and abilities:Be a skilled and innovative education leader who can effectively lead an outstanding school.The ability to work as part of a broader organization, developing effective professional relationships with peers in other schools and other areas of the Misk Foundation.Understanding of high-quality teaching and the ability to model this for others and to support others to improve.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.Ability to build effective working relationships.Data analysis skills, and the ability to link attainment data to strengths and weaknesses in curriculum, pedagogy, and teaching.IT proficiency, including all Microsoft and Google office tools.Able to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.Able to delegate areas of responsibility with an awareness of how this will develop others in the team.Confidentiality.
