The School Psychologist monitors the completion of case study evaluations and participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences and problem-solving meetings designing systems, programs and services that maximize students social, emotional, and educational success. In collaboration with families, students, staff, and communities, the School Psychologist promotes effective educational environments.This is an on-site position based at multiple sites within the ICEF network; commuting to sites will be required. Remote work is not available for this role.Essential FunctionsCounseling & ServicesProvide individual and group DIS or ERICS counseling per IEP requirementsIntegrate psychological services into the classroom environment as appropriateProvide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for studentsEvaluations & AssessmentsMonitor the completion of special education evaluations and participate in IEP conferences and problem-solving meetingsLead crisis intervention efforts and provide insight in the development of functional assessments and behavior intervention plansConduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students and participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetingsProgram DevelopmentEvaluate and/or translate research into practice and understand research design and statistics in sufficient depth to plan and conduct investigations and program evaluations for improvement of servicesContribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving in the classroomSupport ServicesProvide support services to parents/guardians as neededCoordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and familiesProfessional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis including recertification in CPI, workshops, in-services, professional reading materials, SELPA trainings, and/or other trainings provided by ICEFProficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect dataParticipate in building or program activities and meetingsOther duties as assignedAdditional DutiesPerforms other duties as assignedPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Minimum QualificationsAn earned Master’s Degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or universityValid Pupil Personnel Services Credential in PsychologyAt least two-years of related experience in a school settingKnowledge in special education law, behavioral mental health, and learning disabilities.
