This role involves conducting psycheducational assessments, interpreting results, and providing recommendations to support students’ educational and developmental needs. The School Psychologist collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized intervention plans and support positive behavior and mental health. Daily responsibilities include consulting with staff, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and documenting services in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines. The role also includes contributing to prevention and early intervention initiatives, promoting a safe and supportive school climate, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in School Psychology with applied experience in traditional or charter school settings.Demonstrated skills supporting students’ social-emotional and behavioral needs.Expertise in Mental Health, including identifying risk factors and coordinating appropriate supports and referrals.Proficiency in Psychoeducational Assessment, including administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized tools.Master’s or educational specialist degree (e.g., Ed.S., M.A.) in School Psychology; valid or eligible state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist in Tennessee.Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to equity, inclusive practices, and culturally responsive services for diverse students and families.Experience with IEP processes, special education regulations, and data-driven decision making is preferred.
