Science Teacher

Role Description The Science Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based at an international school in Doha, Qatar. The teacher will deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, with a focus on fostering curiosity and critical thinking in learners. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing teaching materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves managing classroom behavior, adapting instruction to diverse learning needs, and participating in departmental meetings and school events. The Science Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents or guardians as needed, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.QualificationsStrong foundation in Science Education, with the ability to teach core scientific concepts clearly and effectively.Subject expertise in IGCSE in Physics and Mathematics, and confidence in integrating these disciplines into science instruction.Status as a Qualified Teacher, with relevant teaching certification or licensure from an accredited institution.Proficient in Lesson Planning, including designing structured, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned learning activities.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related field.Previous classroom teaching experience, preferably in international or multicultural school settings.Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to use educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.Commitment to inclusive practices and supporting students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
