Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole OverviewThe Middle School Science Teacher Facilitator will facilitate engaging, inquiry-driven Science learning experiences for learners in the middle years of the Cambridge Pathway. The role requires a strong understanding of Science concepts, practical investigation and learner-centred pedagogy, with a focus on developing curiosity, critical thinking, scientific reasoning and real-world application. Minimum Educational QualificationBachelor's degree in Science, preferably in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany or a related Science discipline.B.Ed. or a recognised teacher-training qualification is preferred.Candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant Science discipline will be preferred.Familiarity with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science curriculum is desirable.ExperienceMinimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a school environment is preferred.Experience teaching Science at the Middle School / Cambridge Lower Secondary level will be an advantage.Experience in a Cambridge, IB or other international curriculum school is desirable.Demonstrated experience in practical/laboratory-based Science teaching is preferred.Desired CompetenciesStrong subject knowledge and ability to explain scientific concepts clearly.Inquiry-driven and learner-centred approach to teaching.Strong classroom facilitation and learner engagement skills.Ability to differentiate learning for diverse learners.Competence in designing practical investigations and experiential learning.Strong analytical, communication and collaborative skills.Ability to integrate technology and appropriate digital resources into Science learning.Reflective approach to teaching and commitment to continuous professional learning.Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the holistic development of learners.
