Scientific Researcher / Librarian

We are looking for a highly organized, research-oriented and knowledgeable Scientific Researcher/Librarian to manage the library operations, resources, information systems, and research activities based in Abu Dhabi.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Library Science, Information Management, Research, Education, or a relevant field.3 to 5 years of experience in a library, teaching, research, or related environment.Excellent knowledge of library databases and information management systems.Strong research, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.Patient, friendly, detail-oriented, and service-focused personality.Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with a high level of accuracy.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day library operations, resources, inventory, and records.Develop and maintain systems for cataloguing, classification, sequencing, and organizing library materials.Manage books, eBooks, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, and other resources.Maintain accurate circulation, inventory, and library database records.Assist users in searching for information and accessing library resources effectively.Develop library policies, procedures, and information management systems.Manage annual library budgets, procurement, quotations, payments, and approvals in coordination with Finance.Inspect and verify the condition and authenticity of newly acquired materials.Conduct regular audits of library records and inventory.Prepare research papers, reports, reviews, summaries, and recommendations.Provide proofreading and linguistic correction of documents.Keep up to date with developments and best practices in library and information science.Ensure the library remains clean, organized, secure, and accessible.
