Scientific Software Engineer - Rotterdam - ALTENThe PositionAs part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Scientific Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Rotterdam.As Scientific Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:Develop, test, and maintain scientific and technical software applications using Python and/or C++Implement numerical algorithms, simulations, and mathematical models into efficient and reliable codeCollaborate with scientists, engineers, and technical teams to translate research requirements into software solutionsAnalyse and process complex datasets, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility of resultsOptimize code for performance, scalability, and high-performance computing environmentsComfortable working in collaborative, agile teams, and hybrid settingWe are interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:PythonC++ or CMATLAB or JuliaYour ProfileCompleted Master's Degree or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science and a relevant degreeMinimum of 3 years experience as a Scientific Software Engineer or in a similar role within software developmentStrong problem-solving skillsFluent in English.
