Founded in 2025 and backed by top-tier investors, we are bringing this technology into clinical practice.Role Overview:The Scientist designs and executes experiments to advance assay performance, owning technical questions from experimental design through data interpretation and recommendation. The position also includes routine execution of the production sample workflow when required to meet throughput demands.
Key Responsibilities
Assay DevelopmentDesign and execute experiments to optimize the Resero Bio cell-free RNA workflowEvaluate new reagents, kits, and instrumentation, and make data-supported recommendationsCollaborate with the bioinformatics team to define and interpret QC metrics, troubleshoot sequencing results, and support panel content decisionsAnalyze and summarize sequencing and QC data independently, and present defensible interpretationsPresent results internally and contribute to grant applications, technical reports, and manuscriptsSample ProcessingExecute the core laboratory workflow alongside the team as throughput requires, including extraction, library preparation, hybrid capture, and QCAnalyze and summarize data for partner cohortsMaintain complete laboratory records in our LIMS system
Qualifications
PhD in molecular biology, genomics, bioengineering, cancer biology, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply, and postdoctoral experience is welcome but not requiredExtensive hands-on experience with molecular biology and NGS methods, including library preparation; this position requires substantial ongoing bench workDemonstrated ability to design controlled experiments and draw conclusions from complex or incomplete dataProficiency in data analysis and visualization in R, Python, or an equivalent environment, and proficiency in Excel for routine data handlingStrong written and verbal scientific communicationStrong organizational and record-keeping skills and attention to detailAbility to closely follow laboratory SOPs and appropriate laboratory safety protocolsAbility to work effectively in an early-stage environment with shifting prioritiesNice to Have:Experience analyzing NGS dataExperience working with RNA, especially including qRT-PCR and RNA-seqExperience with method development or assay optimizationStrong record of independent project execution (e.g. publications)What We Offer:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceMeaningful equity in an early-stage, venture-backed companyHealth, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off and company holidaysA ground-floor role with direct impact on bringing cfRNA liquid biopsy into clinical diagnostics
