Scientist – Cancer Immunology & Single-Cell Genomics

Our team includes scientists from leading global institutions, and we are rapidly scaling our data generation engine.The Role: We are hiring a Scientist with expertise in cancer immunology and single-cell genomics to build experimental programs studying immune responses to therapeutic perturbations. You will design and execute immune-cell perturbation studies, develop and scale our single-cell genomics capabilities, and generate high-quality datasets for predictive modelling and therapeutic discovery. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who combines a strong understanding of immune biology with hands-on experimental experience.

What You’ll Do

Design and execute immune perturbation experiments using primary human immune cellsStudy immune activation, checkpoint biology and therapeutic response/resistanceEstablish, optimize and scale single-cell RNA-seq workflowsOwn experiments end-to-end, from experimental design & cell perturbation to library prep, QC and sequencingScale workflows to hundreds of samples/conditions and ~1M cellsTroubleshoot and improve assay quality, reproducibility, cost and throughputInterpret single-cell data in the context of cancer immunology and therapeutic mechanismsCollaborate with ML and computational biology teams on experimental design and predictive modellingBuild and mentor a growing wet-lab teamRequired Qualifications:PhD in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, genomics or a related fieldStrong experimental background in immunology and/or cancer immunologyExperience with cell prep (PBMCs, nuclei, fixation methods) Hands-on experience with single-cell RNA-seq (Parse Evercode, SPLiT-seq, sci-RNA-seq, etc.) Experience with NGS library preparation and QCStrong understanding of experimental controls, biological variability and assay designAbility to take ownership of experimental programs with minimal supervisionPreferred:Direct Experience in tumor immunology, immune checkpoint biology or ICI cancer immunotherapyExperience studying responses to cytokines, antibodies or other immune perturbationsExperience developing genomics assays (NGS, library prep, nucleic acids enzymatic assays)Experience with flow cytometry and immune-cell phenotypingFamiliarity with single-cell analysis tools such as Scanpy or SeuratExperience with automation or high-throughput experimental workflowsWho Thrives Here:Connects biology, experiments and data to answer meaningful scientific questionsTakes ownership of complex experiments and troubleshoots independentlyCurious about immune responses to perturbations and therapies and their underlying mechanismsWhat We OfferHigh-impact work at the frontier of AI, immunology and therapeutic discoveryClose collaboration with scientists, founders and ML team Competitive salary Apply: Send your CV and a short note to smitha@anubio.ai answering:“Tell us about a challenging immune or single-cell experiment you designed or rescued.
