This role is within a dedicated Research Team, focusing on electromagnetic field studies, software development, and system design related to vessel systems and underwater measurement ranges.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve a variety of scientific, modelling, and programming activities across different project stages, including:Magnetic and electric source modellingElectromagnetic field propagation in various mediaFinite Element & Boundary Element AnalysisUnderwater Signature Analysis (electromagnetic, acoustic, pressure, seismic)Numerical and optimisation methodsModern control theoryQualifications/Education Requirements: Educated to degree level (or higher) in physics, mathematics, or a related scientific disciplineA postgraduate qualification or relevant experience is highly desirableStrong programming skills (experience in C++ is a plus)Experience in electromagnetic modelling, Vector Fields FEA, COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink is advantageousStrong written communication and report writing skillsConfident in presenting and customer interactionsWillingness to travel for site work, research, or commissioning trials in the UK and globallyThis is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative team working on pioneering technologies in the maritime sector.
