Dubai Health is managing and operating 54 sites, including 6 government hospitals, 26 ambulatory health centers, 20 medical fitness centers, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and Al Jalila Foundation.Stem Cells and Regeneration Research Group ScientistTitle: Scientist – Stem Cells and Regeneration Research GroupReporting to: Laboratory Manager / Research Group LeadershipRole OverviewThe Laboratory Scientist will play a lead scientific and technical role within the Stem Cells and Regeneration Research Group within the Dubai Precision Medicine Center (DPMC), independently designing, executing, and managing research projects involving human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and tissue-engineering-based in vitro systems. The role requires a high level of autonomy, scientific judgment, and responsibility for experimental quality and delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependent Project LeadershipIndependently plan, execute, and manage research projects involving human iPSCsTranslate project objectives into experimental plans, timelines, and deliverablesTake responsibility for experimental troubleshooting, optimization, and decision-makingiPSC & Tissue Engineering ExpertisePerform and oversee advanced human iPSC culture, maintenance, and experimental useApply tissue engineering and advanced in-vitro approaches to support project objectivesEnsure experimental rigor, reproducibility, and high technical standardsData Quality & DocumentationGenerate high-quality, well-documented experimental dataMaintain detailed laboratory records and contribute to protocol documentationEnsure compliance with laboratory safety, ethics, and quality requirementsScientific Contribution & CollaborationContribute intellectually to study design, data interpretation, and reporting.Support collaborative projects within the group when requiredProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and research assistantsRequired QualificationsPhD in stem cell biology, tissue engineering, biomedical sciences, or a related fieldExtensive hands-on experience with human iPSC culture and experimental workflowsDemonstrated experience in tissue engineering or advanced in-vitro culture systemsProven ability to run research projects independentlyDesirable ExperienceExperience in interdisciplinary or translational research environmentsExperience supervising or mentoring junior laboratory staffTrack record of contributing to research outputs (e.g., reports, publications)Experience contributing to grant-funded research projectsOnly shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
