Location: BengaluruMode- 5 days officeWe are seeking a dedicated and versatile Scrum Master / Lead QA Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience.In this role, you will be crucial in driving Agile delivery—facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and coaching the team—while serving as a hands-on quality champion and web test automation contributor.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in web application testing, framework development, familiarity with Java development technologies, and an understanding of UI design principles to ensure high-quality, timely software releases.Key Responsibilities1. Scrum Master & Agile Delivery (~50%)Agile Coaching: Serve as a coach for the development team, guiding them in Agile principles, Scrum guidelines, and continuous improvement practices.Ceremony Facilitation: Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.Backlog & Acceptance Criteria: Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and groom the product backlog, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are clear and actionable.Blocker Removal & Conflict Resolution: Identify and remove team impediments, resolve conflicts, and shield the team from external disruptions to maintain momentum.Metrics & Health Reporting: Track, analyze, and share Scrum health, project metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time), and progress reports with stakeholders to maintain transparency.Cross-Team Alignment: Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to coordinate dependencies, align priorities, and manage risks across teams.2. Web QA & Automation Framework Engineering (~50%)Framework Development & Maintenance: Architect, maintain, and expand scalable automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver with Java, Playwright, or Cypress) tailored for web applications.End-to-End & API Testing: Design, write, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test suites for UI interfaces, cross-browser compatibility, responsive designs, and backend REST APIs.CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated web test suites into continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) for automated regression execution.Defect & Quality Management: Define and enforce the "Definition of Done" (DoD), triage defects, and work closely with Java developers to diagnose and resolve root causes.UI/UX Quality Advocacy: Apply an understanding of UI interface design principles to ensure web applications meet design consistency, usability, and functional requirements.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 5 to 7 years of experience in software delivery/testing, with at least 2–3 years in a dual or active Scrum Master role.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or equivalent Agile certification required.Java & UI Knowledge: Solid understanding of Java development technologies and UI interface design principles to effectively collaborate with full-stack engineers and designers.Web Automation Tech: Hands-on experience developing web test automation frameworks using Java (Selenium/REST Assured) or modern JavaScript/TypeScript tools (Playwright/Cypress).Agile Tools: Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting dashboards/metrics.Soft Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills with a proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
