We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who's 3 years in, has shipped real features at a product company, and is genuinely excited about how AI tools are changing the way engineers work and deliver. Key Responsibilities: ● Build features that integrate smoothly with internal tools and customer-facing services, while ● continuously enhancing product value. ● APIs and microservices powering group workouts, gym sessions, and member retention at scale. ● Perform performance tuning to ensure high reliability and responsiveness of all systems. ● AI-assisted workflows and agent-based tooling that multiply team output. ● Integrations across member data, scheduling, and engagement systems. Qualifications and Skills: The Fundamentals ● 3+ years of backend experience at a product-based company ● Proficient in Node.js / TypeScript or Java / Spring Boot — deep ownership of one, working familiarity with the other is a plus ● Solid REST API design — versioning, idempotency, error contracts, auth● Comfortable with SQL + one NoSQL store (Redis, MongoDB) ● Can reason about latency, retries, and failure modes — not just happy paths ● Curious about AI tools and how they can meaningfully speed up delivery — understands where agents add real leverage and where they break
