Sea Freight Operations Specialist – Import & Export

About JGZ Worldwide LogisticsJGZ Worldwide Logistics is a growing international freight forwarding and logistics company based in Dubai, providing tailored transportation and supply chain solutions across global markets.As we continue expanding our operations, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Sea Freight Operations Specialist to join our Dubai team.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage end-to-end sea freight import and export operations, including FCL and LCL shipments.Coordinate bookings, shipping instructions, Bills of Lading, manifests, VGM and other shipping documentation.Liaise directly with shipping lines, overseas agents, terminals, transport providers and customers.Monitor shipment schedules, ETD/ETA, transshipments, cargo arrivals and final deliveries.Coordinate port operations, customs clearance arrangements and inland transportation.Manage free time, demurrage, detention and other operational matters.Verify supplier invoices, monitor shipment costs and ensure accurate job costing.Provide proactive shipment updates and resolve operational issues efficiently.Support the development and improvement of internal operational procedures.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of proven sea freight operations experience in Dubai/UAE, within the freight forwarding industry.Strong practical experience handling both import and export shipments.Excellent knowledge of Jebel Ali port procedures, shipping line requirements and local logistics operations.Established working relationships with shipping lines, agents and transport providers are an advantage.Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and Incoterms.Ability to independently manage multiple shipments and priorities.Excellent written and spoken English.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.Good relation with local shipping linesWhat We OfferOpportunity to join a growing international logistics company.Direct involvement in developing our Dubai operations.Professional, collaborative and entrepreneurial working environment.Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Career development opportunities as the company expands.
