Applicants can expect a professional environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.Role Description The Seafarer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, supporting vessel operations within INTERNATIONAL MARITIME SHIPPING’s fleet or managed ships. Day-to-day responsibilities may include deck or engine duties, safe navigation support, cargo handling, watchkeeping, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Seafarers are expected to follow international maritime standards, comply with company procedures, and participate in safety drills and inspections. The role involves close coordination with officers and crew members to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure vessel operations. This position requires readiness to travel and work at sea for extended periods, with a focus on teamwork, discipline, and professionalism.Qualifications Valid STCW certifications and other mandatory maritime documents appropriate to the rank (e.g., basic safety training, medical fitness certificate, seafarer’s book).Previous experience in a seafaring role (deck, engine, or ratings) on commercial vessels or equivalent maritime experience.Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work in challenging sea conditions, and follow strict operational guidelines.Effective communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, multicultural crew.High level of integrity, reliability, and adherence to company policies regarding safety, security, and conduct.Willingness to be based in Dubai and undertake regular voyages and extended periods on board vessels.Additional training or experience related to medical devices, shipboard healthcare support, or handling specialized equipment is an advantage.
