Apply & track with Apply EdgeAre you ready to shape how media drives measurable brand and business growth across some of Carlsberg’s most dynamic markets — and play a hands-on role in our marketing transformation?We are looking for an experienced, action-oriented media leader to raise the impact, effectiveness, and return of media investments across the SEB-cluster (South European markets), part of the CEE&I region, namely: Italy, Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro.This is a newly created, market-facing role designed to bring specialist media capability closer to our markets and strengthen how priority campaigns are planned, activated, optimized and measured across CEE&I.The role is market-facing but not market-based. It sits on the regional marketing team, above the listed markets rather than inside any one of them, so that every market has equal access to it. There is no location requirement and no relocation. What matters is being connected to the market teams, to local consumer insight and to the local agencies.Reporting to the CEE&I Hub Media Lead once that role is in place, and to the CEE&I Marketing VP in the interim. You will not report into any market, and no market reports to you. You will connect Carlsberg’s media ambition, frameworks and capabilities with the brand and business priorities of each market. You will work closely with market marketing teams, regional leadership, Group Media and agency partners to improve investment sufficiency & prioritization, executional quality and measurable business impact.SEB markets vary in scale, maturity, and operating context. Their need for strong media expertise is greater than any individual lean market can consistently sustain alone. You will provide that shared specialist depth, working alongside market teams and agencies to deliver stronger campaigns while building lasting capability.What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:Lead and assure end-to-end media planning and delivery for SEB markets’ highest-priority campaigns from briefing and audience definition through activation, optimization, measurement and learning.Work alongside the CEE&I Hub on business-critical briefs and campaigns: bring the market view in early, shape the brief, and land the output locally.Work continuously with market marketing teams to align media plans with brand, portfolio and commercial priorities, tailoring support to each market’s scale, maturity and context.Translate business and brand ambition into clear media choices, including audience, channel role, investment level, phasing and measurement approach.Assess media sufficiency and challenge plans that are fragmented, underfunded or unlikely to deliver the agreed objectives.Recommend improvements and reallocations across audiences, channels, campaigns and brands based on performance and expected impact.Hold the media-level relationship with the local agency teams across SEB, setting expectations on strategic quality and challenging the planning response. Buying, trafficking, activation and the commercial relationship stay with the markets.Apply and adapt Group Media frameworks and best practices to market priorities, including PESO orchestration, consumer-led planning, attention, media sufficiency, platform fit and measurement.Establish consistent campaign-performance reporting across SEB, connecting media indicators with brand and business outcomes.Build media capability within local marketing teams through coaching, tools, planning routines and hands-on support.Connect SEB markets with CEE&I and Group Media teams, representing market needs and helping shape practical solutions that work locally.Travel regularly across SEB markets to work directly with market teams, agencies and key partners.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for a media leader who combines specialist depth with a strong commercial mindset and practical delivery capability.You can turn brand ambition into focused, consumer-led and measurable media plans. You are comfortable moving between strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and detailed working sessions with marketers and agencies. You know when to challenge, when to coach, and when to make a pragmatic decision.Proven experience leading media planning and activation for high-impact campaigns, working closely with both marketing teams and agencies.Deep, practical knowledge of modern media, including audience-first planning, attention, PESO orchestration, omnichannel activation, digital platforms and measurement.Strong business acumen and the ability to connect media investment decisions to brand growth, business outcomes, effectiveness and ROI.Experience influencing and aligning stakeholders across markets with different levels of scale, maturity and capability.Strong agency-management skills and the confidence to challenge quality, performance and ways of working.Strong data, digital and AI literacy, applied pragmatically to improve planning, execution and decision-making.The ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and across multiple markets without relying solely on formal authority.Comfort with ambiguity and lean organizational setups, combined with a decisive and delivery-focused mindset.Curiosity and a strong external orientation, continually looking for ways to raise the standard of media effectiveness.What your qualifications areBachelor’s degree in marketing, media, communications, business or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.At least 5 years of relevant experience in media strategy, planning, activation and/or marketing performance, gained on the advertiser or agency side.Experience working across multiple brands, categories and markets, balancing strategic priorities.Experience from FMCG or another consumer-led company is preferred.Experience from any of the listed SEB markets (Italy, Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro) and familiarity with the SEB region is a strong advantage.Strong and confident communication skills in English; fluency in a relevant SEB market language is an advantage.What you can expectAt Carlsberg, we are brewing for a better today and tomorrow, and we offer you an equal opportunity to grow across our company.
