The company has expanded its presence across key maritime hubs, including Japan, Australia, Greece, Norway, the UK, and the USA.Role Description The Second Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati, responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of vessels’ engine and machinery systems. Daily tasks include supervising routine maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, monitoring engine performance, and ensuring compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations. The role involves coordinating with the Chief Engineer and other crew members on planned and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining accurate records of engine room operations. The Second Engineer also participates in safety drills, implements company procedures, and supports continuous improvement in vessel reliability and operational performance.Qualifications Strong foundation in Marine Operations and Maritime practices, with familiarity in engine room procedures and vessel safety standards.Current STCW-compliant certifications and understanding of international maritime regulations and conventions.Hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of marine engines, auxiliary machinery, and onboard technical systems.Practical knowledge of Boat and shipboard equipment operations, including mechanical and electrical systems.Valid Second Engineer license or equivalent maritime engineering qualification recognized by relevant authorities.Experience working in ocean-going vessels, preferably in multinational or cross-cultural crews.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions under time-sensitive conditions.Ability to work in structured, safety-focused environments and adhere to company policies and international standards.Good written and spoken communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
