Position available: Secondary Arabic TeacherAustralian International School, Sharjah (AIS)Location: Sharjah, United Arab EmiratesPosition: Secondary Arabic TeacherStart Date: Immediate startThe Australian International School, Sharjah is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Secondary Arabic Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team.The successful candidate will be passionate about Arabic language education and committed to delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences that enable students to achieve strong academic outcomes. They will demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students, use assessment effectively to inform teaching, and provide appropriate challenge and support for learners of differing abilities.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Arabic lessons across the Secondary School.Demonstrate strong knowledge of the UAE Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum and standards.Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.Develop students’ proficiency across reading, writing, speaking and listening.Use effective questioning, modelling and feedback to promote deeper learning and student independence.Maintain high expectations for student achievement, engagement and behaviour.Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.Contribute positively to departmental planning, curriculum development and school improvement priorities.Support the wider life and culture of the Australian International School.Essential RequirementsApplicants should have:* A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, and Arabic Education Experience teaching Arabic at Secondary level in the UAEExcellent written and spoken Arabic.A strong understanding of effective Secondary teaching, assessment and differentiation.The ability to create an inclusive, engaging and academically challenging classroom environment.Strong communication, organisation and collaboration skills.A commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students.Experience teaching within the UAE and/or an international school environment and familiarity with UAE inspection expectations would be highly advantageous.
