Position: Section Head, Raw Materials Procurement (Strategic Sourcing)Job Location: KSAAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage the strategic and operational sourcing of critical raw materials that support large-scale industrial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring supply continuity, optimizing total cost of ownership, strengthening supplier partnerships, and delivering sustainable value through best-in-class procurement practices.The successful candidate will lead category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and market intelligence activities across a diverse portfolio of raw materials. This position plays a key role in enhancing supply chain resilience, mitigating commercial and supply risks, and supporting long-term business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement and category strategies aligned with business objectives and procurement governance requirements.Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical raw materials through effective sourcing strategies, supplier diversification, and risk mitigation initiatives.Lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and category management activities.Optimize procurement performance through long-term agreements and strategic supplier partnerships.Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles to procurement decisions, balancing cost, quality, logistics, inventory, and risk considerations.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners to support operational and strategic goals.Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supply-demand dynamics to identify opportunities and proactively manage risks.Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, driving accountability, capability development, and continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract governance requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.Deliver value creation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, supply assurance, and business competitiveness.RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent are preferred.Experience6-12 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Category Management.Proven experience in raw materials procurement, supplier management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing.Prior leadership or team management experience.Experience within manufacturing, metals, mining, chemicals, industrial operations, or other heavy industry environments is highly desirable.Key CompetenciesBusiness and commercial acumenStrategic sourcing and category managementContract negotiation and supplier managementMarket intelligence and commercial analysisRisk management and supply continuity planningStakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationLeadership and team developmentContinuous improvement mindsetTechnical SkillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.Experience with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, and supplier performance management.Language RequirementsFluent in English.Arabic language skills are an advantage.This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a strategic procurement function, drive value creation, strengthen supply chain resilience, and contribute to the success of a large-scale industrial operation.
