Security Architect

🖋️Security Architect 📍Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London or Manchester – Hybrid 3 days per week⌚Permanent 37.5 hours per week 💷£70,000 - £95,000 (different levels and different salaries available) 🔒SC or DV Clearance Our client is a leading Consultancy Company and they are looking for an experienced Security Architect who has designed and delivered secure solutions to Defence, National Security and Public Sector clients.They are looking for an Architect or Designer with a Consulting background, who understands public sector design challenges and can work with clients to overcome them!You will be CISSP (or similar) qualified, have relevant client experience and want to work with clients to solve their problems.

Key Responsibilities

Design technical security solutions and develop architecture patterns for new technologies.Lead technical engagements, bringing together SMEs across Identity, Security Testing and Privacy.Understand client security policy frameworks and translate them into practical architecture solutions.Communicate and justify design decisions clearly to non-technical senior stakeholders.Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scoping to identify threats and recommend remediation.Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to secure external systems and data exchanges.Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, providing actionable recommendations.Conduct security audits and assessments to identify gaps and drive improvements.Key Skills:Experience in a similar role within Defence/National Security/Government, operating within a Consultancy capacity and providing advisory services to clients.CISSP or equivalent, as well as in-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards eg., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).A strong track record of designing and implementing security controls and/or solutions.Experience leading technical teams and consulting engagements.Experience with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or SABSA.A broad understanding of technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools and network security.Knowledge of how to secure cloud based infrastructure.Knowledge of Government Security Classification Policy, Government cyber requirements related to Defence and Security e.g. Secure by Design, JSP 440.Our clients Offer a range of benefits for permanent workers, as well as an excellent salary you will receive the following:Car allowance/monetary pot26 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays.Pension contribution matched up to 8%.Private Medical Insurance.Overseas Working Policy – If you have the right to work in another country, can request up to 20 days each year to work remotely.Yearly On Target Bonus.Season Ticket Loans.Paid professional subscription.Life Assurance.Our client is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
