SECURITY OFFICERLocation: Kajiado, KenyaJob SummaryWe are looking for a disciplined, alert, and responsible Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting company employees, premises, assets, equipment, and materials while maintaining a safe and secure working environment.The ideal candidate should have a strong security background, good physical fitness, high integrity, and the ability to remain calm and professional when handling security incidents.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control access to company premises,including employees,visitors,contractors and vehicles.Conduct security checks and inspections at designated areas.Verify identification,passes,delivery documents and other relevant documentation.Maintain accurate security registers,occurrence books and incident reports.Patrol company premises and identify potential security risks or safety concerns.Monitor movement of company property,materials,equipment and vehicles in and out of the premises.Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents,emergencies and suspicious activities.Report security breaches,incidents,losses and other irregularities to the Security Supervisor/Management.Monitor CCTV and other security systems where applicable.Support emergency response procedures,including fire,accidents,unauthorized access and other incidents.Maintain order and discipline within the assigned security area.Work closely with employees,visitors,contractors and external security service providers.Support investigations by preserving relevant information and reporting incidents accurately.Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications and RequirementsCertificate/Diploma in Security Management,Criminology,or a related field will be an added advantage.Prior paramilitary, disciplined forces, or structured security training is highly preferred.Candidates with NYS training or equivalent paramilitary/security training are encouraged to apply.Previous experience in security,preferably within a manufacturing,industrial,warehouse,or large commercial environment,is an added advantage.Good physical fitness and ability to work for extended periods while standing or patrolling.Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity,discipline,confidentiality and professionalism.Ability to work shifts,weekends,public holidays and nights when required.Must be able to work effectively under pressure and respond appropriately to emergencies.Preferred Candidate ProfileDisciplined and physically fit.Alert, observant, and proactive.Reliable and trustworthy.Able to follow security procedures and instructions.Good understanding of access control,patrol procedures,incident reporting and emergency response.Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be an advantage.Equal OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer and encourage qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.Selection will be based on the candidate's qualifications,experience, competencies and suitability for the role.
