In this role, you will maintain proficiency with assigned weapons and security equipment, control access to designated areas, conduct interior and exterior patrols, respond to security incidents and emergencies, and support the protection of advanced defense technologies and critical manufacturing operations.ResponsibilitiesControl access at designated security posts and verify employee, visitor, and contractor vehicle credentials.Conduct armed interior and exterior patrols of facilities, parking areas, the site perimeter, and restricted locations.Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and access control platforms and respond appropriately to security incidents.Identify, observe, document, and report suspicious activity, security violations, safety hazards, and facility concerns.Respond as an armed security officer to alarms, medical incidents, security threats, and emergencies in accordance with established response and use-of-force procedures.Basic QualificationsHigh school Diploma or GED2+ years of experience in armed security, military, law enforcement, corrections, emergency services, or a related protective security field.Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to security and safety concerns.Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all New Mexico licenses, registrations, and firearms qualifications required to perform armed security duties.Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles if required.Preferred Skills And Experience2+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, or industrial environments.Experience conducting armed patrols, incident response, investigations, and emergency response.Experience operating CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and security communications systems.Current CPR/AED, First Aid, Stop the bleed, firearms, defense tactics, or other applicable security certificationsAdditional RequirementsAbility to maintain a professional and visible security presence.Ability to wear approximately 20-30 pounds of gear throughout a 12-hour shift, to include; days, nights, overtime, weekends and rotating schedules as required.Must obtain and maintain all company required firearms, use-of-force, defensive tactics, less than lethal, and emergency response qualifications.This role is based in Rio Rancho, NM and requires full-time onsite presence.Must successfully pass a background investigation and any required pre-employment screening.Physical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift.Ability to patrol large indoor and outdoor areas, climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.Ability to safely wear and operate required equipment to include body armor, duty belt, firearm, less than lethal equipment, radio and other assigned security equipment for extended periods.Castelion offers a generous benefits package.
