Who We AreWe are an AI-driven investment research startup serving global public equity markets.Our team consists of talent from top-tier AI companies and leading global hedge funds, building AI Agents and core infrastructure for fundamental investment research to define the next generation of the buy-side research workflow.ARR in the multi-million USD rangeClients include dozens of hedge funds across the U.S., Hong Kong, and SingaporeBacked by tier-1 USD venture capital fundsWe are expanding our semiconductor and AI infrastructure research team across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. In this role you will own primary research on one semiconductor or AI sub-sector from the market where it actually lives, and feed what you learn into the living data models and trackers our institutional clients use every week.Job DutyConduct primary research on your sub-sector: plan and run interviews with industry experts, supply-chain participants, and former executives, in your local language and in EnglishTrack the high-frequency signals in your market (company disclosures, monthly revenues, capacity and pricing datapoints, local news, channel checks) and turn them into structured, comparable dataMaintain and expand FUNDA's sector models and trackers, connecting bottom-up evidence from your market to global AI and semiconductor demandWrite concise, differentiated research notes: what you believe, where it differs from consensus, and what evidence would prove you wrongWork closely with our research, data, and engineering teams, and get involved in building the next-gen equity research AI Agent productSub-sectors We Are Hiring ForYou should have demonstrated depth in at least one of the following (through work, internship, academic research, or a sustained personal research track record):Foundry and advanced packaging (leading-edge nodes, CoWoS/SoIC, OSAT)Memory and HBM (DRAM, NAND, HBM supply, pricing, and capacity)AI accelerators and custom silicon (GPU, ASIC/XPU, chip design ecosystems)AI networking and optics (switches, transceivers, CPO/LPO, DSP, copper interconnect)Semiconductor equipment and materials (lithography, etch/deposition, metrology, wafers, substrates)AI servers, ODM/EMS, and rack architecture (liquid cooling, power delivery, components)Data center power and infrastructure (energy, grid, site development)AI models and tokenomics (frontier and open-source model landscape, inference economics, token pricing and usage, enterprise AI adoption)An adjacent sub-sector such as analog/power semis, EDA/IP, or PCB/passives, if you can show equivalent depthRequirements0–5 years of experience in equity research (buy-side or sell-side), semiconductor industry, consulting, or a related analytical role; strong fresh graduates with proven sub-sector depth are welcomeDeep, specific knowledge of at least one sub-sector listed above; you know the key companies, the supply chain, and the numbers that matterGenuine passion for technology: you follow this industry because you find it fascinating, and you have developed your own viewsStrong interviewing and communication skills: able to earn an expert's trust, ask the question behind the question, and separate what people know from what they repeatEvidence-first mindset: comfortable with numbers, rigorous about sourcing, and disciplined about distinguishing facts from claimsFluent in business English; native or professional fluency in the language of your market (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or a major European language) is a strong plusSelf-driven and detail-oriented, able to manage your own pipeline in a remote setup and deliver on a weekly cadenceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance, or a related subject; a technical background is a plusFamiliarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, agent workflows) in a research workflow is a plusWhat You'll GetGlobal working environment across Asia, Europe, and the U.S.Work directly with senior semiconductor analysts and former top-tier research professionalsDirect involvement in the AI era building next-gen equity research AI Agent productsOwnership of a research sub-sector from day one; your work compounds into products, not just reportsLean and dynamic team with market impact; competitive compensation and long-term growth opportunities
