This role involves guiding students and working professionals through their academic journey, including program selection, course planning, and progress tracking. The Senior Academic Advisor will provide individual and group counseling, support learners in aligning educational paths with career goals, and help address academic or performance-related concerns. The role includes collaborating with faculty and operations teams to improve advising processes, organizing academic and career information sessions, and contributing insights to curriculum and student success initiatives. The advisor will maintain accurate records, monitor learner outcomes, and proactively reach out to support at-risk learners.Qualifications Strong Academic Advising and Education background, with experience supporting learners in higher education or professional training environments.Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling, including handling academic, personal, and performance-related concerns with empathy and professionalism.Proficiency in Career Counseling, helping learners connect program outcomes to relevant career paths and industry opportunities.Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to present information to diverse groups.Experience mentoring or coaching adult learners or early-career professionals is highly beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively with academic, operations, and placement teams to drive learner success and retention.Comfort with using student information systems, learning platforms, and basic data analysis to track and report learner progress.Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications in academic or career counseling are an advantage.
