Senior Accountant - ( Agency Background )

Role Summary

We are hiring a Senior Accountant with proven agency experience to manage accounting operations, client billing, supplier payments, campaign cost tracking, reconciliations, tax documentation, and financial reporting.The candidate must understand how digital marketing agencies operate, including client retainers, project-based billing, media buying, influencer payments, freelancer/vendor costs, campaign budgets, and client profitability tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting transactions, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records.Prepare and issue client invoices based on retainers, campaigns, projects, and approved scopes of work.Track client collections, outstanding balances, payment schedules, and account reconciliations.Review and process vendor, freelancer, influencer, production, and media buying payments.Track expenses per client, campaign, and project to support accurate profitability analysis.Monitor actual costs versus approved budgets and highlight any cost overruns or margin risks.Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations, and cash flow updates.Maintain proper financial documentation, approvals, invoices, contracts, receipts, and payment records.Support tax requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and related financial documents.Assist in payroll processing, employee reimbursements, advances, deductions, and financial records.Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, aging reports, and client/project profitability reports.Coordinate with Account Management, Operations, HR/Admin, vendors, auditors, and tax consultants.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience ( Agency Experience is a must) Strong understanding of agency billing, supplier payments, campaign costing, and project profitability.Good knowledge of tax, reconciliations, financial reporting, and documentation control.Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Odoo, or similar systems.Good command of English and Arabic.High attention to detail, strong follow-up skills and confidentiality
