Senior Accountant – Client Accounting & Reporting

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Reporting team in Dubai. The role will involve managing accounting assignments for a portfolio of clients, reviewing work performed by junior team members, coordinating directly with clients, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting and reporting deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and reporting requirements for assigned clients.Review bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledgers and accounting schedules prepared by junior team members.Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting schedules.Coordinate directly with clients for information, queries and periodic reporting requirements.Guide, mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.Support VAT compliance by ensuring accounting records and reconciliations are complete and accurate.Manage multiple client deadlines and ensure timely closure of assignments.Work across different accounting platforms and help improve accounting processes and reporting.What We Are Looking For3–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with an accounting, audit or consulting firm handling multiple clients.UAE experience and prior exposure to a client-facing role preferred.M.Com or equivalent accounting/finance qualification; CMA / ACCA qualified or pursuing will be an advantage.Strong accounting fundamentals with good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong Excel skills and practical experience with accounting software.Exposure to platforms such as Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally or similar systems would be advantageous.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to supervise junior staff, take ownership of assignments and work effectively under deadlines.We are looking for someone who is hands-on, responsible and keen to grow from managing accounting assignments into a broader client management and supervisory role as the practice expands.
