Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting management with timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping Manage the full cycle of accounting including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end close Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-account transactions on a regular basis Process accounts payable (AP), vendor invoices, supplier payments, and expense claims Manage accounts receivable (AR), billing, collections, and client account reconciliations Maintain accurate records of inventory purchases, medical supplies, and equipment assetsFinancial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement) Conduct budget variance analysis and provide commentary to management Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts Track key financial metrics and highlight trends or areas of concernPayroll & Compliance Process monthly payroll for clinic staff in compliance with UAE labor laws Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements Maintain accurate records for audit purposes and liaise with external auditors as needed Ensure all financial activities adhere to local regulatory and accounting standardsOperations Support Maintain and improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures Liaise with suppliers, banks, and regulatory bodies on financial matters Support the management team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Assist in implementing or optimizing accounting software and clinic management systemsRequirementsExperience & Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred Minimum 4–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior role Experience working in the UAE or GCC region (required) Prior experience in a clinic, healthcare, or service-based business (preferred)Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and FTA compliance Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) Familiarity with payroll processing under UAE labour law Experience with POS or practice management systems is an advantageCore Competencies High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity Effective communicator — able to present financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision Team player with a collaborative and professional attitudeNice to Have Experience in veterinary, medical, or healthcare clinic Familiarity with inventory and asset management in a clinical setting Arabic language skills (not required but advantageous) Prior experience preparing audit-ready financial documentationBenefitsWhat We Offer Competitive salary: 6,000 to 8,000 AED/month Supportive and professional work environment Opportunity to be part of a growing and passionate team Career development and growth within the organizationHow to ApplyTo help us get to know you beyond your CV, all applicants are required to submit a short video introduction (approximately 30 seconds).Simply introduce yourself, tell us about your previous work experience, and share why you'd like to join our team.
