Team members join an environment that encourages professional development within a fast-paced trading and wholesale setting.Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Ajman and requires close collaboration with management to prepare financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and analytical reports for decision-making. The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and internal controls. Responsibilities also include inventory and cost tracking, reviewing supplier and customer accounts, supporting audits, and improving financial processes and reporting accuracy. The role involves working with ERP or accounting software, maintaining up-to-date financial records, and providing timely responses to internal and external financial queries.Qualifications Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, monthly closing, and preparation of financial statements.Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, compliance requirements, and experience supporting audits.Experience with inventory accounting, cost tracking, and margin analysis in a trading or wholesale environment.Ability to work with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar systems) and strong Excel skills.Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.Several years of experience in accounting roles, preferably as a Senior Accountant in trading, wholesale, or retail sectors.Ability to work on-site in Ajman full-time, with a high level of integrity, accountability, and time management.
