Senior Accountant

Location: Kensington High Street, LondonWork arrangements: Fridays working from homeOptional Flexible Hours: Start between 8:00–10:00 AM, up to 2-hour break, finish from 5:00 PM (FRI 4:30 PM) onwards, depending on chosen schedule.LUCA FALONI is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Kensington, London.This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key accounting activities within a fast-growing international luxury fashion business. Working closely with the Finance leadership team and stakeholders across the company, you will help ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls and the efficient delivery of day-to-day finance operations.The role follows a hybrid working model, with four days per week based at our Kensington office and Fridays working from home.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Prepare monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and variance analysis.Maintain and reconcile balance-sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Manage bank reconciliations, cash reporting and cash-flow forecasting.Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.Prepare VAT returns and support other statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.Coordinate with external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for the annual audit.Ensure accounting records are accurate and maintained in line with company policies and relevant standards.Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.Partner with Retail, Operations, E-commerce and other departments to provide financial guidance and analysis.Support the Finance leadership team with ad hoc reporting, commercial analysis and strategic projects.Review the work of junior team members and provide guidance, coaching and support where required.About YouA recognised accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA, or currently in the final stages of qualification.Strong experience in a financial accounting or management accounting role.Solid knowledge of month-end processes, balance-sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.Experience preparing management accounts and supporting statutory reporting.Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and reporting systems.Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Able to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.A proactive, hands-on and solution-focused approach.Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.Experience within retail, fashion, e-commerce or an international consumer business would be advantageous.Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues would be beneficial.What We OfferClear opportunities for career progression within a growing international business.A high level of ownership and exposure to senior stakeholders across the company.The opportunity to contribute to the development of finance processes, controls and reporting.Support for ongoing professional development and relevant accounting qualifications.A hybrid working arrangement, with Fridays working from home and work from anywhere allowance.A generous employee discount across the LUCA FALONI collection.A collaborative and entrepreneurial working environment where ideas and initiative are valued.The opportunity to develop your career within a premium luxury brand with an expanding international presence.Work from anywhere allowanceProgressive Paid Time OffFlexible hours schemeTeam lunchesCompany eventsTo apply, please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience.We are an equal opportunities employer.
